Company Success = Doing excellent Sh!t OR Caring about People. 🤔
It’s a false choice.
I think you can make money (temporarily) by doing really good work but treating your people like trash. It lasts until they get up and walk out when they’re fed up of the bad treatment.
In the last few months, I’ve been working on a discovery with a wonderful little #SalesforcePartner where I’ve been really impressed with the founder and his team.
Everything he says and does shows how much he cares about the impact he makes.
It doesn’t matter if he’s talking about the client, the Salesforce AE, the team, the suppliers or the project.
I can also see how much his team is vested in their collective success, and how this leadership style engenders deep loyalty.
TRUST and KINDNESS is not just fluffy pink kumbaya stuff.
These really translate into £££ in terms of
🍩 quality of projects that get delivered (because the team is functioning at its optimal level),
🍩 reduced attrition
🍩 attracting better clients and better projects
It works, y’all.
As Brené Brown said in her podcast on BRAVING TRUST (link in comments 👇🏻), “Hell Yeah!” Success is doing great sh!t AND being deeply caring. You don’t have to choose one or the other.
What do you think?
Do you work in a company that’s wildly successful because of the product/services it delivers while behaving like an utter jerk to everyone??
I haven’t found one yet, but would be curious to know!
