So What?
And Now What? 🤨
Effective communication can be boiled right down to answering the two questions.
“I have a doctorate degree in Salesforceology.” 🙄
“I have 43 years experience in AI prompt engineering.”
“I run the best hashtag#salesforce dreamin event this side of the Czech Republic.”
SO WHAT?
Why should someone care about what you’re saying?
In business communication, when I’m trying to get that job, that promotion, win that argument about why I’m right… I sometimes forget the “So what?” part.
Part 1 of all persuasive communication is actually an exercise in my influencing skills.
I have to find a way to make my point land effectively.
I need to get them to care.
“I’m an expert in Salesforceology so I can help untangle the mess you’ve made trying DIY the your org merge project to streamline your spaghetti processes so you can extract maximum value from your really expensive licenses.”

OK I wouldn’t say that exactly but I’d imagine those words would make anyone sit up and take notice!
Then comes Part 2 which is answering the “Now What?” question.
What needs to be done to to address it, acknowledge it, solve it, move it forward?
CzechDreamin sent out a masterful email yesterday that nails both questions. It provided a template email on how to persuade your boss to send you to the dreamin event in Prague.

CzechDreamin is absolutely astonishing event, as you can see just quickly scrolling through the feedbacks they’ve got last year.
