What’s the most important thing

What’s the most important thing to a #Salesforce Partner?
Utilisation and chargeability. 💲

Actually, that’s super important to all consulting partners and billable businesses, like the legal industry, for example.

Then what’s is the quickest way for a new hire (graduate, intern, new trainee) to become chargeble and competent (so that you don’t have to do any ‘write-off’s)?

(1) Hiring contractors is the solution if you have a project that immediately needs some bods. But they are expensive, and they don’t contribute to the growth in your team.

(2) Have the new hires shadow senior consultants. You need to reduce utilisation rate for the seniors but that rarely happens.
They are expected to mentor ‘in their own time’.

(3) Have new hires learn online (udemy, skillshare, trailhead). This method lacks real-world consulting context and it can still take awhile before they’re at competent consulting level.

(4) Yeah – chuck em in the deep end and see who sinks or swims. Worst option.

(5) Delivery Masterclasses for Salesforce Partners. I designed this because I wanted to help Partners grow their junior talent into a strong consulting team.

Once trained, they will be equipped and ready to go with confidence and competence.
Oh, and they will also be chargeable so much quicker.

That’s my USP.
