When you’re in a hurry, you might
– forget to brush your teeth
– put on crumpled clothes
– send off that proposal without review
– ‘short cut’ through your config and set-up of the function by ignoring documentation and due diligence.
Sometimes the ‘shortcuts’ are harmless (unless you aren’t social distancing and you’ve not done your teeth) 🤢
Sometimes they are absolutely lethal (examples include infrastructure disasters that’s taken lives) 😔
Sometimes they add ‘debt’ to your system/process/environment.
These ‘debts’ extracts payment through efficiency loss and impact to data and system integrity.
As well as rework to fix.
Why not get it right the first time?
Updating documents “after the fact” is so much more painful than doing it in the beginning.
And yet…
And yet..
People still do it.
I’m always in favour of trying to keep things off my millstone and plate where possible.
Im just lazy like that. 😁
ANYWAY..
Flying off to Prague for Czechdreamin’ and to meet Ivanna G.Melissa Hill DeesMark Jones and Caroline Häming and make lots of friends!
Looking forward to lots of learning and fun meeting people 😍
