Wow…! Talk about inflation! 😱

Wow…! Talk about inflation! 😱

So I’m uploading my book Salesforce Consulting 101 (I’ll call this book 3) to Amazon for final proof and get a shock when I get to the pricing page.

The minimum amount I can price my book at is $33.19 which would yield exactly 0 (read that: zero) royalties. ☹️

My previous book Successful Salesforce Projects 101 (Book 2) is priced at $30.99 and the royalties from each book sold is enough to get me a small frapuccino.

Book 3 has 285 pages vs Book 2 with 174 pages.

Surely the extra 100+ pages can’t account for such a big increase as I’d assume that most of the biggest costs might be the cover page and the binding etc! 😢

What that means is that I’ll be pricing Book 3 at $39.99 so that each sale can earn me enough for a bar of kit kat after deducting printing price and Amazon’s royalty share.😞

I was hoping to reduce the prices of all the books for those who want to get the full set of the 101 series as I write them…

But I’m so sorry dear readers. 😢

Part of the reason for the high price is that I opted for high quality colour printing and premium white paper so that the colourful doodlepeeps would pop.

Also am guessing that maybe inflation and other economic factors would impact it as well.

I’ll get around to making all the books available on kindle which should take down the costs but I was wondering…

Would it be worth looking at publishing a black and white version? 😬

So for those who still love the tactile-ness of an actual physical book – what do you think?
