💩Aggressive deadlines (not enough time for proper analysis)
💩Assigned late in the project (after key decisions are made)
💩Unclear role boundaries (BA + PM + developer + admin = 😵)
💩Disengaged stakeholders (declined meetings, ignored messages)
💩Lack of confidence (when external chaos feels like personal failure)
Here’s what hit home: “It can feel like ‘I’m doing something wrong’ when really it’s the ENVIRONMENT that’s causing these challenges.”
The key? Knowing what you can control with structure vs. what’s truly external factors beyond your influence.
Not every BA struggle is a skills gap – sometimes it’s the context we’re working in.
