๐Ÿ“ŒStep 8: Assess the Value Created

๐Ÿ“ŒStep 8: Assess the Value Created

After all the activity – solving problems, detailing requirements, configuring systems – it’s easy to lose track of the big picture.

Laura’s reminder: Circle back to the original business objectives.

Key questions:

๐ŸฉWhat value did we deliver?

๐ŸฉAre we still on track with our original objectives?

๐ŸฉWhat tangibly improved as a result of this project?

Why this matters:

โœ… Creates positive momentum

โœ… Boosts team morale

โœ… Builds a supportive business-technology culture

โœ… Provides data for future project funding

Don’t forget to celebrate what was achieved – and document what’s next.

That “out of scope” list? The phase two bucket? Those are your future projects waiting for funding.

More organizations are moving toward metrics-based evaluation here. If you’re not measuring the value delivered, you’re missing the opportunity to prove BA impact and secure support for the next initiative.

Do you formally assess project value at the end, or does everyone just move on to the next thing?
