“Let me have some time to check this out, and I’ll get back to you.”
D was in tears when I told her about the call.
“She kept changing her mind and asking me to rework the build. Almost every day, she’d do this!”
“Did you keep a log of her requests? Did you document anything in your time sheets?”
D shook her head tearfully.🥺
When a consultant is working with a client on a ‘staff augmentation’ or ‘body-shopping’ capacity, things like this happens.
Without keeping a paper trail and meticulous time log, it’s near impossible to refute any customer allegations.
Sadly, this stayed on D’s record but she learned a valuable lesson in how to #CYA (Cover Your Tooshie) 😬
