I was always a chicken-heart.

I was always a chicken-heart. 🐤
Everything scared me.
Uncomfortable feelings.
Potentially embarrassing situations.
Conflict. Confrontation. Godzilla. 😨

Anything that required being brave.

It wasn’t until I started volunteering as a listener with #Samaritans that I understood how this fear appeared to be the root cause of so much pain and suffering in the world.

I was too shy to tell her how I felt about her.
I was too fearful to say anything whe he crossed the line.
I was too scared to ask how he was doing even though I didn’t really believe him when he said he was ‘fine’.
And now it’s too late.

“It’s too late.”
These three words describe the vice-like pain that tightens around the chest of Regret.

Don’t wait until it’s too late.

If you’re in OkayLand, look around and be there for those who are not. ❤

𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗮𝘆.

I can’t remember who said it but I’m going to steal it 😁

Who will you have a courageous conversation with today?

ps: I don’t normally peter the poor cashier with all those questions on the video. Maybe just pick one or two until all groceries have been bagged and I finish by saying, “Hope the rest of your shift goes well.”
No need for interrogation 😆

pps: What’s going on with my hair there?! 😄
