Bla bla jargon

“Bla bla jargon bla important word bla bla doohicky TLA klingon toyota bla bla banana, you understand?” 😱

We all know someone like this. 🙄
Those who feel the need to use big words in the name of communication.

I believe that you don’t need to do this.

Communicating simply and communicating simplicity should be everyone’s goal when trying to get to 𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘆 and 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 with your audience.

𝗡𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘆 🧠〰
It’s synchronisation of brainwaves (ÜberHub coined this) when everyone’s on the same page. 📑

How do you do that?
– By understanding your audience.
– By identifying where they are – emotionally and intellectually, to see how to make your message land correctly.
– By crafting your message and using the right words that you know will strike a chord.

𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 ❤🎵
This is where you’re able to connect with your audience on an emotional level allowing you to take them where you want them to get to – excited, angry, determined or inspired even!

A masterful communicator is able to truly connect with their audience intellectually and emotionally.

My take: Communicating simplicity by communicating simply can be very compelling in conveying competence and confidence. 👌🏻

To be honest, while the above sentence was fun to craft, it feels too awkward and clunky to do what I want it to do 😫
It does, however, highlight the point that in trying to look clever, it clearly showed that I wasn’t! 😁

What do you think?
Do you write simply, or do you attempt to obfuscate utter incompetence with high falutin nonsense?? 🤭
