Isn’t that how the saying goes?
I believe that integrity and being trustworthy is exactly that.
Keeping congruent and consistent in my thoughts, words and deeds to everyone (including myself), in all situations.
I’ve never told the kids I believe in Santa or the Easter bunny, especially because they never visited me when I grew up in Malaysia. 😒
And I’m pretty sure I wasn’t on anyone’s naughty list. 😬😆
Rumour mongering, gossiping and telling tattle tales also erodes integrity.
And as we enter “panto” season here in the UK (a musical comedy production that plays over. Xmas and new year) where the hapless protagonist rarely realises the baddie is behind them… And where the audience helpfully shouts, “He’s behind you!” I decided to draw a link between that and my doodle in a light hearted prod at the topic of “Integrity”.
If only more people would admit that “What we say isn’t really what we mean” the world would be an easier place to navigate.
