Why won’t the user use the system?

Why won’t the user use the system?
Why can’t we get buy in from the stakeholders?
WHY WON’T YOU PICK UP YOUR CLOTHES FROM THE FLOOR?! 😬😅

On this week’s newsletter, I talk about the 5 top reasons for resistance to change. This applies to professional context obvs, because in the parenting world, resistance is usually due to, “No, I really don’t want to because I don’t like broccoli. 🥦”

Using the ADKAR model of change (also discussed in this issue) really do not work on todders, tweenies or teens. Trust me, I’ve tried. 😐

For hashtag#Salesforce projects and hashtag#ProjectManagement in general, it’s important to pay attention to the hashtag#ChangeManagement component – because if your user adoption is poopy, then your project has been a failure.

Really.
That should be a mandatory KPI.

Also, it pays to understand Maurer’s 3 levels of resistance to change.

My personal method of never getting to level 3 is liberal use of the bribery 🍩🍰😁 tactic of influence (I’ll be talking about Power & Politics virtually at the Copenhagen user group – keep your 👀 open for that post).

How do you avoid going down the Maurer’s 3 levels of resistance to change?
(Usage of bazooka not allowed to my kid’s suggestion 🙄😁)
