Food is recession-proof

Food is recession-proof. 🍩🍰🍕🍔🥦
Regardless of the state of the economy, everyone still needs to eat.

So is #CRM.
Businesses will always need to find customers to sell to.

Finding leads, qualifying and turning them into customers who are also raving fans is the holy grail of all businesses.

That’s why you need CRM systems like #salesforce#microsoftdynamicsCRM#hubspot and #insightly.

The need for CRM will never go away.
The only real question (based on the lively discussions on my feed) is how the competitive landscape will respond to the tech layoffs.

People will always be people.
When things go wrong, the blame game will start.

In the macro view, fingers pointed 👉🏻 at the pandemic which had enormous effects on human behaviour including work habits and spending patterns. 💲💻

Zooming in, falling revenue might be blamed on the ‘other’ team who hadn’t been pulling their weight. 😠

Sometimes, I think that the only sure way to know and understand what’s truly happening is by looking backwards from the future with 20/20 vision.

Right now for those of us without a crystal ball – we will have to find a way forward in this chaotic time.

And we start:
– By taking a pause to give our fight/flight impulse a moment before reacting.
– By taking stock of where we are and how we got here

We sit down and we listen.
To ourselves, and to others.

Active empathetic listening, artful questioning and critical thinking are the foundation skills of really outstanding #Salesforce consultants.

I cover these topics and more in my Consulting Discovery Masterclass.
