This is absolutely Not True. โŒ

Sometimes, people who think about ending their lives actually believe that the world would be a better place without them.

They believe that they are a burden to those around them.
They believe that no one would care if they weren’t here.
And they believe that maybe if they weren’t here, everyone would be happier.

They are in such a dark place, that they truly believe all of the above. ๐Ÿ’”

Whether true or not, phrases like “attention seeking behaviour” are incredibly judgemental and unkind.

Before you judge anyone who are struggling with such dark thoughts, take a moment to pause and think about what it must be like to be in their shoes. ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

No matter what, #BeKind.
You never know about the demons and battles that others have to fight every day.

If you’re in a good place, don’t forget to reach out to those who are struggling.

The friend from college who you know works at the company that’s been laying off people.

The friend who has just had a bereavement.

The family member who has anxiety disorder and facing stressful exams.

Anyone of them might be drowning.

Reach out.
Connect.
Check in.

It doesn’t take much.
Just a phone call.
Or even a text or IM.

If you’re struggling and you haven’t anyone, then please call Samaritans at 116 123 freephone from the UK.
Or you can call 988 toll free in the US.

You don’t have to go through this alone. ๐ŸŒน
