Panic attacks. 😫

Panic attacks. 😫
Constant Anxiety.
Fear.
Insecurity.
Stress.

Insomnia. 😣

Morning comes, and the cycle continues. 😓

The life of a #SalesforceConsultant or any other consultant can be incredibly stressful and we pay for it with our health – mental, emotional and physical as well as in our relationships. 💔

#RealProjectManagers understand that we have direct impact on the lives and emotions of the team that we lead.

Our clients look to us as trusted advisors to help them navigate the weird and wonderful but complex world of #Salesforce so we must always be on point.

Accessible and helpful.

Always know how to deal with problems.

Ever the professional who is highly competent.

That, and everything else that’s expected of a #ReallyGoodConsultant.

But that doesn’t discount the human who is also subject to the things that go on in our daily lives.

Those of us who care deeply about doing a good job will worry that we are Not Good Enough.

Leaders need to know how to gently but firmly push their team towards excellence but stopping short of booting them down the chasm of Floundering Hell.

#Leadership is about recognising the souls who are on board our ship, and that our job as stewards of these human being needs us to recognise that kindness matters.

#BeKind.

You’ll find that this under-rated hack in generating loyalty and incredibly high performing teams far outperforms bribery. 🍩

Trust me – I’ve tried 😆

That’s why after over the usual, “Heya how’s it going?” I will sometimes follow up with, “How are you sleeping these days?”

I know it’s an odd question – but I’ve found that it leads to a deeper conversation about the kind of things that keep people up at night.

And that’s the type of conversations we need to be having more nowadays.
