What advice do you wish someone had given you:

Here are some answers from our panelist Paul Ginsberg Kristyna Turner Ashley Douglas, APTD

🍌 Believe in yourself more (and practise self-compassion).

Not in a motivational-poster way. In a stop beating yourself up for not being perfect way.

🍌 Action comes before clarity.

Passion doesn’t always appear first. Sometimes you take steps forward, try things, and then the passion catches up.

🍌 Your career doesn’t need to make sense at the beginning.

Or even in the middle. You’re living it — not explaining it retrospectively on a CV.

🍌 Imposter syndrome doesn’t disappear.

But one reframing helped: it’s often just the gap between how we assess ourselves and how we think others see us.

If you were chosen for the role, someone already believes you belong there.

If there’s one thread running through all of this, it’s curiosity, community, and a bit more kindness towards yourself than most of us allow.
