What happens if a #SalesforcePartner accidentally undersells a project?

What happens if a #SalesforcePartner accidentally undersells a project? 😬
Ooof this is a biggie.

This happens ALL. THE. TIME.

How partners handle it depends on their integrity. 😐

If we’ve made a (contractual) promise, we keep it.
But don’t expect me to get my team to bleed for a mistake the company made.

No way Jose, I say 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

The company should pick up the commercial cost of this mistake.
It’s the 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 thing to do.
It’s the 𝗢𝗡𝗟𝗬 thing to do, IMO.

This is really a lesson in leadership that will be noted and internalised by the team and everyone who works there.

The lessons here are:

🍩 We make mistakes.
🍩 We accept them and take accountability for them.
🍩 And we do the right things to make it right, and to make sure we don’t do it again.

The ‘right’ things here is NOT to get the team to do overtime… which is something a lot of #Salesforce partners do.

Companies should see all challenges as a lesson in leadership, and how to create a culture where people feel safe.
This fuels innovation, creativity and strengthens loyalty.

Don’t think short term.
It’s the infinite game at play here.

If your company is making you work more than your contracted 37.5 or 40 hours per week… CONSISTENTLY, to make up for bad work practices, then maybe it’s time to polish up your CV and look for another job.

This company does not deserve you. ♥❤
