What if…?
Peggy became the first super soldier instead of Steve Rogers?
T’challa was abducted by Yondu and became Star-Lord?
You took that job with BigCorp instead of that startup?
You had the courage to tell him you liked him?
We just started the MCU series exploring alternative versions of our reality in the multiverse.
I’ve always loved the idea of playing the “What If” game.
Not in a negative way, blaming the past, but in an adventurous way, exploring the possibilities of what could be.
This is also a very simple tool in helping people become unstuck.
Especially when you’re running a #Salesforce Discovery, and you’re working with people who may be afraid of change, worried about a future that may bring more hardship or misery.
But what if, what if, what if it wasn’t what they thought?
What if we listened instead of judging and trying to solve the problem we think they have?
What if we understood the source of their pain?
What if the future could be a lot different than what envisaged?
And what if we kept our promises to make things better?
That is why I play this game.
What if we cared enough to do the hard work, the emotional labour, the necessary toil to make a difference to those we serve?
What a great world this would be.
It’s the kind of world I’d like my kids to grow up in.
Having Captain Carter as an Avenger is also a fantastic ‘what if’ scenario. 😍
I mean, who’s to say we aren’t living on a timeline branch anyway?*
And what if we lived in a universe where yummy donuts 🍩 had zero calories along with ice cream🍦and cheesecake 🍰?!
😋😋😋😋
