What if no one comes to my party? 😳
What if they hate it?
What if there’s a fight? ⚔️
What if something embarrassing happens and it gets on social media?
I was talking to my god daughter Ashley* (just turned 18) who was very anxious about her birthday party.
I’ve also been having other conversations that made me think about why we care so much about what other people think.
Ask anyone who are old enough to have lived through years of experience and many will say the same thing.
“I wish I didn’t waste my life caring what people thought of me.”
I don’t think many people will heed these words though.
There are a few people in my life who are truly themselves and who don’t give a flying frog what others think of them. ✈️🐸
I dance in public. 💃
I don’t care that my doodle peeps have wonky eyes.
And my ninjas say that my colouring skills aren’t super. 🤷🏻♀️
I make mistakes sometimes and am OK with it.
I hope Ashley finds a way to get through adulthood without flying frogs on her back.
It’s a much happier way to live.
You only have one life.
Live it by being gloriously you. ❤️
