📌Step 7: Help the Business Implement the Solution

Laura Brandenburg just shared a love-hate story from her book:

A document management system was built to eliminate paper and boost efficiency. But the team didn’t understand how to use it properly—so they were printing TWICE, uploading TWICE, and writing notes on paper because the notes feature wasn’t configured right.

The solution actually made things MORE difficult. 🤦‍♂️

The BA’s role here:

✅ Ensure the business understands how to use what was built

✅ Support train-the-trainer initiatives

✅ Do future state process analysis

✅ Update process documentation

This is about making sure the BUSINESS aspect is taken into account—not just the software/technology.

Otherwise? People revert to workarounds, do things the old way, and you never get the ROI you promised.

Technology adoption isn’t automatic. The BA bridges the gap between what’s built and how people actually work.
