All conflict is caused by a gap in expectations.

All conflict is caused by a gap in expectations.
BFF fights, breakups, divorces, lawsuits… I cannot think of one instance where this is not true.

In #Salesforce consulting (or any other #CRM consulting or business interactions) – it is very important to understand what the other party is expecting.

What have they been sold?
Is it something that you can deliver?
What might happen if the answer is a “no”?
What happens if that solution is “Fixed Price” ARGH! 😱

A key part of a #ProjectManagement skill is to manage sticky conversations like this, but the best way to deal with conflict is first to understand where that #ExpectationGap is.

I talked to Jasmine Ashley, Senior Solutions Architect at Salesforce last year as podcast guest (season 2 coming in May – stay tuned!) about this and other topics relating to project delivery and her culture shock moving from NZ to UK.

Have you ever had that ticktickticktick moment?
😨

I have!
Sometimes, it almost (not quite!) hits me with a super urgent number 2 Call of Nature! 💩
