There are a few things that a Project Manager loves to hear.
“You’re so awesome” is something I hear a lot.

Just kidding (only a little) 🤭
Sometimes I’ve had team members who feel as if they can’t let me down, and tend to only tell me things they think I want to hear.
Thats why I make it a safe space for my team to feel that they can tell me anything.
And so, in time, the team finds its groove.
We begin to truly start performing.
It takes time and patience to cultivate the trust and create transparency, and I always stress the importance of communication.
Active listening
Paying attention to the non verbal as well as the verbal messages.
Understanding the concept of mental models.
And most of all, empathy.
All this creates the environment where a team can thrive.
They’ll be able to focus on their core strength which is to do good work.
No drama.
Being in flow is about performing your best without distractions.
While I like the green “Oh that’s easy” statements, my job as a PM is to deal with all the rest.
But of course… It’s still one of my favourite things to hear 😁
