How do you deal with trolls?
People who love putting you down as a sport?

In the past, if you were bullied in school or at work, you could escape as soon as you came home into your room.

No longer.

The Internet and the explosion of social media has made bullying such a common occurance that you cannot escape this 247 online culture.

The solution is to teach #EmotionalIntelligence.
A big part of EI is the Self-awareness and self-management component, which underscores the importance about being aware of what’s going on internally:

Why is this triggering me?
What does it mean?
Why do I believe that in this particular interpretation of the event?
What can I choose to believe instead, that would serve me a lot better?
How can I come out of this interaction in a positive way, and not let someone rain on my parade?

The doodle was inspired by Laura Frederick‘s post on #BananaSam (while my ninja 2 helped with the tagline), I felt that it epitomises the lessons around #inclusion#kindness and #diversity that Laura’s initial post talked about.

Ninja 2 did mention that if Mr Banana did like banana smoothies, he would be encouraging bananacide and his family would be dead. Of course, we gloss over things like this when writing LinkedIn posts 😁
