#ImposterSyndrome
We were discussing this yesterday during my Emotional Intelligence Workshop.

Many in the professional workplace feel as if they aren’t good enough, and worry about being “found out”.
Even those who have been in the industry for a long time can feel this way.

I think what’s key is to really ask some searching question and understand whether the perception is real or imagined.

Why do I feel like I am not good enough?
Are people saying it?
Or is my internal critic waving that stick at me?
Who’s voice does that internal critic sound like?
Oof, she sounds like that battle axe I had for a headmistress when I was young, always telling me I’m not good enough. 👩🏻‍🏫
No one’s had any bad feedback about me, in fact, my last performance review has been excellent.

Well, maybe I should just shut up that critic and focus on how amazing I can be. 😎

Yes, maybe I should do just that.

#SelfAwareness is about asking searching questions and being courageous enough to face the honest answer, no matter how painful or uncomfortable it might be.

That’s the only way to claim your rightful place in the Amazingly Wonderfully Worthy People of the Planet (who don’t have to do anything to prove it). 😊

It’s a very liberating place to be.
Try it!
