How to SPUFS (Set Projects Up For Success) 😁
Tip #3: Think Data Privacy and Security First!!
“Can I just show you what I’m talking about here? Our pipeline process can be a bit tricky.”
How often do we do a ‘quick screen-share’ to explain what we mean?
Alexander Lapa and myself are working with a client discovery, and a user wanted to show us their process.
“Hey, because we’re recording the session, please make sure you don’t show anything that has any PII (Personally Identifiable Information) data on it!” 🙅🏻♀️
*phew!*
I managed to interjected before they shared their screen.
They say a picture is worth 1000 words, and a screenshare is worth an essay, but it could become a bit of a tricky business if we aren’t careful!
So always make sure:
🍩 you turn off all notifications (I’ve seen slack messages criticizing the presenter while they were on screen!)
🍩 you share the correct tab/window (I’ve had my team giggle at the meal plan I had put together when that tab was displayed! 😳 I am not going to apologise for having noodles twice a week! 😁)
