“I’m devastated and I needed to tell you.”
I just had some news this morning.
The kind of news that took the colour out of my world. 💔
There were so many big feelings spilling out of my heart that I needed to tell someone.
So the first person I called was ÜberHub.
He’s always told me that he could never be a Samaritan because he was a problem fixer, and not so much of a listener.
But he’s the first person I would tell everything to, and I know that the broken pieces of my heart, my self and my soul is safe in his hands.
I am also very very lucky I have friends around me who have safe hands as well, including my fellow volunteers at #Samaritans and close friends from the ecosystem.
They are my EmotionalSupportHomeys.
My ESH.
Everyone should have at least one ESH with hands that you’d trust with your vulnerable feelings.
