Solution Architect vs Technical Architect.

I needed to get the nuance for a client and pulled up Gemma Blezard’s outstanding article from Salesforce Ben about the different Salesforce Architect roles.
And felt another punch to the gut.

It’s hard to believe she’s not here anymore.

And with Amanda Beard-Neilson’s memorial coming up, it’s just a reminder of how precious life can be.

I searched and searched but could not find a picture of Amanda and myself, mainly because I rarely initiate pictures or selfies. 😥

And I always thought – there’s always another time.

That’s just it, isn’t it?
We always think we have more time.
To say “I love you”.
To say “You make a difference to me”.
To show I care.

Act like it’s your last moment on this planet.
Because… maybe it will be.

My kids are wondering why I’m “cringe-ier” than normal 😉 giving them more random kisses and hugs.

Not easy when my tween/teenage ninjas are taller than me because if they don’t bend down for me to get a kiss, I’d have to jump and potentially headbutt them into oblivion! 🤭

But yes – this reminder is so important, especially when the noise and clutter of the daily living gets in the way of what really matters.

Maybe we all need to #BeMoreCringe.
