Some of the things that contribute to “scope creep”

Some of the things that contribute to “scope creep” in a #Salesforce project
– poor definition of requirements
– poor stakeholder management
– poor change control and governance

I find that on top of the items above, I get more success when I consistently set and #ManageExpectations.

Even if I were the concede and allow a change to make its way into the scope without charging the client, I will still go though the change control process.

And I highlight to the client that this is a gesture of goodwill, and not the norm.

Otherwise we get into a situation where “an inch becomes a yard” or a “bite becomes a face-full of cake.” 😳

OK I’m not saying that it actually happened (the cake thing) but you get my gist.

It’s all about boundaries.
And tight #ChangeControl procedures.

I talk about that on today’s session for the #ProjectManagement Masterclass I’m running to raise funds for the crisis in Ukraine.

All you have to do is to donate £100 to access the live sessions and all the video recordings for 30 days. Details in the comments.

It’s good karma. And you learn something in the process! 😊

See you there!
