Have you had something grow so stealthily

Have you had something grow so stealthily, so sneakily that you never notice anything until it’s too late?

Could be that waistline… 🍩🍩🍩
That sense of complacency in your job…
That person crossing your boundaries… 🙅🏻‍♀️
That project scope…

Scope creep is one of the biggest thing that can stuff up a project.

It helps to understand that we humans love it when we feel we are getting a deal.
We get a little dopamine rush when that cute barista gives us that shot of cream without charging us.
Or when we get a BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) Deal.

Us Malaysians can be quite shameless when purchasing things… Husband cringes sometimes when I switch on my charm and ask, “Discount?” 😁

Doesn’t always work, but it doesn’t hurt either.

So, if we take that as a given, then we know that our customers will try to ask for as many features and functionality as they can, without having to pay more.

That’s why stakeholder management is important, because it helps us help them stay within their budget and allows us to deliver quality system.

“C’mon, you can do it. You told me that it’s easy to knock up that flow. I’m sure your Project Manager won’t mind.”

😱
No.
No.No.No.No.NONONO.

In tomorrow’s Project Management Consulting Masterclass, I talk about Scope & Requirements.

If you want to register, all you need to do is to donate £100 to one of the charities below in aid of Ukraine, and you can attend the rest of the workshops AND access the videos for 30 days!

How about that? 😎

You get to learn AND you get to collect good karma. 💪🏻
Baaaaaaargain. 😁

Details on how to do this in the comments below.
See you there?
