This utterly blew my mind! đĩ
It took 3 days for me create something and have it materialize 10,262 miles in Oz in Jason Lawrence‘s hand! đđģđ
The speed and distance its travelled from my brain to a physical thing is crazy! I just cannot wrap my head around it!
My dad, who was a commercial pilot, wrote a book “Life in the Skies: Everything you wanted to know about Flying” did it the conventional way.
With a proper publisher
– who had a minimum number that would be printed and physically distributed to all the bookstores (I think it was 10,000).
– who would help with the promotion and launch.
– and a team that helped him with the professional editing, book cover design and all that.
There was a huge investment up front, but luckily Air Asia Company Limited sponsored the endeavour.
For my book, there was only myself, and the amazing support and goodwill of those around me who rallied to help with everything.
Of course it could have been more polished if I had professionals helping me, but the technology exist to help me get to market by myself. So why not?
But going from a digital poofware to a physical product on the other side of the planet is utterly incredible. đ¤¯
Now excuse me while I try to put my brain back into my head.
