What do you do when you know you’re going to die?
Well, that’s a trick question because everybody dies, it’s just a question of when (and maybe how). In a blaze of glory? Or in a fart and whimper?
When I was about 8, I read an abridged version of Nostradamus’ prophesies, and since he kinda sorta implied that The End of the World 🔥🔥 would happen within my lifetime, I decided to make a plan.
This involved getting myself onto the USS Enterprise Spaceship 🚀(you can tell I am a Trekkie) and leaving before The Apocalypse happened.
You can guess that my plan deviated somewhat, but it kinda sorta led me to my #PerfectJob.
If you’re around Nottingham on the afternoon of 29 Jan, and you’re interested in hearing the rest of the story, why don’t you pop by oe:gen who’s hosting the Women In Tech meetup?
It would be lovely to meet you, and we can riff about software consulting (ooo I love talking about project methodologies!), World of Warcraft, raising ninjas, surviving the #ZombieApocalypse (yes I have contingency plans for that too)* or anything you fancy.
See you there!
*Can you tell I was born a Project Manager? 😁
