Happy Cow Year

Happy Chinese New Year to all my friends and family celebrating the incoming Year of the Ox.

It’s been a crazy year, but there’s light at the end of the tunnel.
Last year felt like a neverending uphill crawl on bloodied hands and knees.

Jim Collin’s “Stockdale Paradox”.
How do you survive as a POW captured by the enemy, when you don’t know when the nightmare will end, and that you’ll get a chance to go home and see your loved ones again?

Those who kept thinking, this next Christmas will be it, or we’ll be home by Easter, or the New Year… the ‘optimists’ were the ones who were broken and crushed by repeated disappointment.

Zoom in and focus on what you can control, yourself, your thoughts, your intention.
2020 and the Year of the Rat (or Mouse) has brought much painful upheaval, heartaches, loss, but also lessons on the new meanings of beauty, love, family, time.
Of Life.

The Mouse who has affected me most was my maternal grandmother, who passed from Alzheimers so many years ago.
She lived a life of pain, married to an emotionally abusive husband but still managed to shower so much love on her children and grandchildren.

Today, I remember the lessons she taught me by the way I live my life.

Happy New Year, may the Year of the 🐮 be a better one for all ❤
