High performing teams

High performing teams helps company move quicker, faster, and more efficiently.

However, team dynamics can be complex and can be affected by gender bias, racial discrimination, cultural differences, hiearachical power distances… there are many reasons for dysfunctional relationships.

It’s caused by this type of thinking:
You’re not like me and my kind.
These are the reasons I believe that we are better than you.

When the leadership style in an organisation is authoritarian, it is less likely to create environment where high performing teams can grow and flourish organically, without the need for big sticks.

There are leaders who practice compassion and respect, allowing a safe space for everyone to make mistakes, so that they can learn and grow.

They create environment where people respect each other, and collectively grow as a team.

If you find yourself in an organisation that systemically disrespects the individual (for whatever reason), then consider that you might not thrive in this environment.

A plant will grow when it is bathed in sunlight, watered, fed and nourished.

If you are not getting what you need, then find another job that will help you grow.

You have feet that can take you elsewhere, unlike the poor plant that’s overshadowed by the big tree, sitting under the rotting leaves and fungi.

You’re not a plant.
Find your own sunshine. 🌞
