Tip 1: Turn your internal debug mode ON.
“What are you talking about?” 🤔 I hear you ask.

Just like what it says…

It’s about intentionally, mindfully analysing how you operate and answering:

🍩 Why you just had that thought?
🍩 Why did that message triggered an emotion?
🍩 What’s this emotion you’re feeling?
🍩 How do you feel about labelling this emotion?
🍩 How do you feel about yourself when you know how this emotion is triggered?
🍩 What is it threatening?
🍩 Are you operating from fear and weakness?
🍩 What might you want to do about it?
🍩 Why do you feel what you feel about this person?
🍩 Why do you think the things you do about them?
🍩 Are you assuming things and context? Why?
🍩 What else might be true?
🍩 How might that change the way you feel?
🍩 What does all of this mean?

These are some great self reflecting questions.

“Is there such a thing as an uncoachable person?”

The answer is YES.

Especially if that person lacks self awareness.

This means that they are limiting their opportunity to grow and to develop into a better version of themselves.

When I’m on the phone as a #Samaritan listening to our caller’s who are emotionally distressed, perhaps even feeling suicidal… I use the power of questions to help them explore their feelings.

It’s only through this process of gentle probing into raw, and sometimes uncomfortable place that we begin to grow.
