Ashleigh was our hairdresser – an amazing young woman who’s currently raising four boys under 7 (the youngest are twins aged 3) after she lost her partner Dale to cancer in March. 💔
She can’t work anymore (because who would look after the kids?) and wouldn’t take any money from us or her loyal customers even though she’s struggling financially at the moment.
We were trying hard to figure out how to help in some way, and decided to do something to honor his memory.
So for the last few months in my spare time I have been making bracelets that spell “HOPE” in morse code while ninja #3 made a money box that would sit in the front of the salon.
Thank you to so many from Talent Stacker | Salesforce Career Development Program including Danica Ríos Weber, Amy Morris, Kimberly P. and Matthew Thomas VanHorn, MBA who helped me make so many of these bracelets at the Dallas Unconference in March. ❤️
There are so many people who are struggling with life – going through trauma, loss and grief such as losing a loved one, being laid off, suffering from physical and mental illness as well as stressful work and home environment.
There’s always something we can do.
A text message.
A voice mail.
A call.
Be that friend.
We all need someone to lean on when life gets ugly and painful.
The world needs more kindness 🌹
