Should #salesforce always try to build in the white space or leave partners alone build and flourish? (Pablo Gonzalez 🇨🇷 says ‘no’. 😁)
Is competition in this space healthy or welcome?
Could have really gone deep with the above questions but this forum was specifically about AI App Development. So we also talked about:
🍩 The cost and consumption model being a deal blocker for many govt agencies
🍩 How lack of transparency in cost and risk for financial services
🍩 Salesforce is a mile wide and an inch deep, where tableau is an inch wide and mile deep
🍩 Data residency and privacy – needing our instance/model to be geo-aware
🍩 Too much noise on
#AgentForce does not yelp provide clarity around more granular info about where data is hosted or what model is used etc
🍩 The fast AI pace means everyone has jumped on, and have not allowed us to breathe, step back and ask deep searching questions (which is a reason for this forum!)
The most insightful and scrumptious comment was this: 🍩🍰🍿🍪🍫🍦🍨🍧
👉🏻The marketing message over simplifies it – this new platform is asking for skillset that Admins, devs and architects don’t quite have. Selecting models and learn prompts and truly use it requires deep domain knowledge. The market and story across the Agent layer has simplified the effort required from the users to implement it causing much confusion.👈🏻
And oh – I managed to throw in my support for the Well-Architected framework and team to provide technical leadership around best practice in this new AI world.
Let’s hope someone listens to me. 🤞🏻😐
Amy Alberts leading this really candid discussion at Salesforce Tower in Dublin having a very honest and open conversation about AI App Development.
With contribution and discussion from Lilith Van Biesen Miriam McCabe Gauhar Kassymbek and many more I didn’t catch the name.
More of these conversations please.
