Project Manager Vi sent out the Statement of Work for the Discovery to every member of the team.
โRead the signed SOW back to front so that you know what weโve promised to deliver. Understand what we have been contracted to do and the approval process. Highlight anything that you are worried about โ such as anything thatโs unclear or that might pose a risk to the Discovery or Project (if we win it).
โI was not involved in the initial bid team that put this together, so I think it would pay to be cautious.โ
As part of the internal project kick-off in a Partner-led #Salesforce project or Discovery, we need to know what we’re going to do.
It’s always advisable if the delivery resource (such as a Project Manager) involved in the sales process is also going to be part of the actual implementation team, but that’s not always the case.
When I am assigned to lead a Discovery for a client, I make sure that my team is all over the SoW.

Yes, I actually had a Delivery Director tell me this.
I would urge any consultant on a project to ask for the SoW if it’s not been shared with the team. This will give you an idea of the contractual expectations of the engagement.
