𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬 – 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝟰𝟱 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬 – 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗮 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝟰𝟱 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲
Sometimes an organisation may engage a #Salesforce partner to help implement the system if they do not have the internal capability to do so.

Just like the act of getting married, we need to find out about the other partner.

What’s their goal in life?
Do they like children? 👶🏻
What happened to previous relationships? hea
How do they feel about commitment?!
😁

So, depending on the size and complexity of the project, most software partners would start with a Discovery session to understand the business and technology landscape.  

This may include a healthcheck on the org as well as workshops to get a deeper understanding of the business.

The Discovery outcome would be a set of documents that details the findings from the workshops and recommendations on next steps. 📃

On top of that, we would produce a Statement of Work for the Implementation project that includes the proposed budget, timeline and scope.

So actually…. the Discovery is really a longer, more thorough sales process!

If we do our job right, and show the client that we can understand their requirements and we are able to build trust in our capability and competency, then it is likely that they will put a ring on it and sign off the SOW. 💍

If not – then they might say “Bye bye!” and use the Discovery documents we produced to get another partner to implement.

The Discovery is basically an extended courting process – the wining and dining, the understanding that your family dynamics is making it Christmas get togethers tricky… ok someone stop me before I continue to mangle my metaphors!

But you get my drift.
Is consulting-led Discovery like romantical dating?? 💘
