Can you force a #Salesforce newbie into a hotshot consultant? 💪🏻
Or a partner into your idea of the perfect ‘One’? ❤

Not if
– they are not aware of what you’re planning or
– they don’t like what you have in mind

Creating the perfect team – whether professionally or romantically requires two things to be in place:

𝟭. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀.
Where you want to go and how you want to get there is important

𝟮. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁.
.. to get to the destination safely. Change isn’t easy but the shared journey of growth will be a meaningful one for all parties.

I’ve seen situations where new recruits are placed in projects and touted as ‘senior consultants’.
This is so bad on so many levels.
Not only will there be damage to the project and the partner, but think of the stress and anxiety that is infliced on the newbie.

Similarly, I’ve also seen romantic relationships follow the same path.

The best way to start a relationship (or employment) is to meet people where they are.
Discuss where you want to get to, together… and if the destination is an exciting prospect for the both of you, then put together a plan on how to get there.

Marrying someone and trying to change them from a party animal into a stay-at-home partner is almost as bad as trying to eat a 500 pound donut! 🍩

Incredibly tempting but unbelievably stupid!! 🤢🤢

What do you think?
