Why do the schools serve these sort of meals? ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ฃ
I can’t believe they don’t know how to use styles in a Word document! ๐คจ
Everyone has opinions on everything.
I have strong opinions about many things.
Before I share my opinions, I ask myself:
– Why do I want to vocalize what I’m thinking?
– Do I want to change someone’s behaviour?
– Am I trying to be controlling?
– Do I want to affect how people think about me?
– Is it my ego that I am serving right now?
– Do I want to change the situation?
– If so, will it make the world a better place?
In the social media world, and the real-life world in general, opinions are frequently stated as facts without thinking more deeply about the “why” behind them.
I do that too.
As a #projectmanager, I have a lot of opinions about my project.
One of my values is Excellence, and sometimes I feel the need to share my strongly held opinions when something falls below my expectations.
But I stop myself to THINK, and then I find myself finding another way to say what I want to say, in a kinder way.
In a more compassionate tone.
…remembering that I will never know what the other person might be going through.
I’ve had to do a bit of THINKing recently, so it helped me to doodle and write this post.
Perhaps you might find it useful too.
