I hang out on Quora quite a bit.

I find out so many things and answers to so many questions that has enriched my life and broadened my thinking in many ways.

This evening I came across this question about self-harm that triggered this little note on how one may reach out for help.

Self harming is an indicator that someone is not coping with life, and may potentially lead to suicide.

That’s why the note has popped up.

It’s one of the reasons why I love volunteering for #Samaritans. They engage with the wider world to advocate for policy changes as well.

One of the most amazing things they’ve done was to get Google to display this message whenever someone searches for critical keywords.

If you Google “suicide” or any related terms one of the first result is the Samaritans helpline.

Try it.

If you feel like the world is getting too much for you and you need someone to talk to, please reach out.

Talk to a friend, or a family member.
If you haven’t got anyone you can share your feelings with, call Samaritans freephone on 116 123 from the UK.

You don’t have to go through this alone. 🌹
