Just listened to a cracking Talent Hub episode

Just listened to a cracking Talent Hub episode with Ben Duncombe interviewing Ben Fuller about the resourcing state of the Salesforce ecosystem.

𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀:
𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 – don’t just focus on certs, but make sure you demonstrate your knowledge with Superbadges. Seek out people and be hungry to learn and to grow. And don’t give up.

𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 – don’t just focus on certs, but make sure the junior hire is provided enough support and guidance to grow in your company.

𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘆: Seeking out certification is a good thing, but focus more on finding out how to demonstrate that you actually know what you’re talking about.

Give it a listen. I found it interesting, especially about personal branding bit, which makes a lot of sense, though slightly at odds with some of the advice floating around on LinkedIn (you know, about creating blogs and youtube channels).

Building a brand is hard (ninja number 2 became my youtube subscriber # 13 out of pity 😆, I mean that’s the sole reason I had kids right?!) so it’s good to hear this piece of wisdom.

I think it will help relieve anxiety of so many newbies who might fret about trying to learn how to be David Liu and the other SF Internet celebs, and instead focus their energy on actually learning how to use and implement the product well.

It was a super episode! 👍🏻
