You can’t be liked by everyone

You can’t be liked by everyone.
If that’s your goal in life, you will need to expect much anguish and disappointment.

What you write, produce and create is the essence of who you are. It will resonate with people who are like you, who see things in the same way you do.

And it will jar those who do not, and who may be very vocal about how “wrong you are”.

Ninja 3 has a dinstinctive style for art.
She also sings (sometimes slightly out of tune) when she’s happy.
All that she does is a beautiful expression of who she is and the joy she holds in her soul, and when she gets negative criticism, I can see her wilt. 😞

I’m trying to get my young ninjas to try not to take these things personally. Of course, there are areas that can be improved in life, where such feedback may be useful in helping us progress and move forward.

But don’t anchor your happiness, worth and value in how much accolade and approval you get from others – because not everyone will like everything about you.

Just continue to be You, and surround yourself with those who like who you are, and ignore those who are unkind.

On the other side, it’s also ok if you like 🌵 and ferns.
You like what you like, and you may be happier among other fellow succulents and flowerless plants.
Just #BeKind to flower-philes, and other people who do not dig what you dig.

Otherwise, you may find others fantasizing about using a prickly succulent to cause you bodily harm. 😬

I guess I’m trying to mash two things here:
1. It’s ok for people not to like you or what you are/do/produce
2. If you don’t like something about someone, either provide useful, valuable, constructive feedback that is kind, or just zip it. 🤐

On that note, have a spiffily flowerlful day!
