Eat that Frog!

Eat that Frog!
Fear is all in your mind!
Failure is not an option!

Sometimes it is confusing to know what to do when we are bombarded by conflicting ‘well-meaning’ inspirational quotes and advice.

This can lead to anxiety and stress.

What if I do the wrong thing?
What if I make a mistake and ruin my life… FOREVER??

In a world of self-help books and motivational gurus, it can get quite easy to feel “lost”.

I remember buying every single ‘twin’ parenting baby book on Amazon before the twin ninjas were born.

So, my single ‘expert’ advice to expectant mums??

DON’T DO WHAT I DID.
😛 It wasn’t really helpful.

Tryin to ‘waterfall’ this ‘project’ was quite a disaster.
Scrum methodology makes a LOT more sense in the parenting world.

If I were to give advice to a younger me?
I’d say – go easy on yourself.
Try something and see if it works.
Iterate and improve.
Listen to your gut.

And throw those books away.
That includes any motiviational, inspirational quote that sounds clever.

Although… I still subscribe to the Eat Your Frog one, by doing the tedious stuff first and saving fun activities for the end.

Do you have a favourite idiom that you live by?
Or even one that you make up?
