Are you collecting dots?

Are you collecting dots?
Or connecting them?

I had been cogitating on this since I heard it on Seth Godin’s Akimbo podcast some time ago.

A lot of people are obsessed with collecting the dots.
The letters behind your name.
The degrees.
The certs.
The badges.
The exams.

I’m asking about what’s going to be on the test as opposed to what I am going to learn that will help me make the change and impact the world.

You see this everywhere.

Knowing how to construct a flow and create a beautiful piece of automation isn’t useful if it doesn’t have a place in the bigger scheme of things.

You need to connect the dots to make it happen.

That’s the clue to the Pizza slice #3 on the SaConJa skills framework; answer to be revealed in this week’s #OnThePeiroll newsletter.

Just so you know… You can do both!
Collect the dots by blitzing Trailhead and score points
AND
Connect the dots if you win a space at my Consulting Masterclass in Nov (I’ll teach you how)! 😊
