Build THE RIGHT thing. For THE RIGHT reasons.THE RIGHT way. ๐Ÿ’—

That’s the essense of a Well-Architected delivery (also works for anything else you want to do/build/create in your life – so versatile! Like a swiss army knife! #IYKYK ๐Ÿ˜†)

Anyway, without us #BadAssBAs (thank you fellow-BABA and amazing co-lead Vanessa Grant) you wouldn’t even get past step (1) above.

๐ŸšฉMaking assumptions.

๐ŸšฉThinking you know better.

๐ŸšฉNot asking the right questions.

๐ŸšฉGoing head-first into solution mode before understanding nuance.

๐ŸšฉForgetting that #empathy is the critical bit in problem solving, and that technical competence comes second…

All of the above usually happens when you don’t have a

#BusinessAnalyst on a project.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปWhat problem are we solving?

No, what’s the real problem?

๐Ÿ‘‰๐ŸปWho are we solving for?

The users – to make their lives better?

The managers – to make their numbers look better?

The so-called leaders – to make their ego get more puffed up?

๐Ÿ˜

Our job as the Business Analyst is to understand the What, Who and Why.

It’s the builder’s job – the Architects, the Consultants, the Developers – who will answer the How.

Aand the #RealProjectManagers will answer the When and How Much ๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Thank you Johann Furmann for a lovely write-up.

Now if only someone would write a love letter to the Project Manager or Tester… ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰

By the way – our next Virtual Business Analyst Trailblazer Meetup will feature both Vanessa and myself on a very important topic of UAT!! Keep your eyeballs out for when that drops ๐Ÿ‘€
