Do you believe everything you read?

Do you believe everything you read?

Especially if it’s got lovely pastel watercolours and with beautiful squirly writing?

Or how about when it’s accompanied in an authoritative tone?
And what if it’s written by someone you admire?

For example, if your favorite basketball hero tells you he attained his manly physique due to rigorous herbal toe sniffing rituals and meditative klingon chanting?

Would the answer to the above questions be a “yes”?

But what if what you’re reading / listening to does not seem to make sense?

Do you apply critical thinking and ask difficult questions to get to the answers you seek, or do you keep quiet because you don’t like conflict and you don’t want to cause a ruckus?

I love it when people challenge what I say, and pepper me with questions.

These are the people I want on my team, those who believe it’s important for them to be comfortable with their understanding of the situation so that they can design the right solution.

I do have strong opinions about how projects are run, but that doesn’t mean that I am not open to having a lively debate about it.

I want people to challenge me, and I like people who love being challenged in return.

Underpinned by deep trust and a healthy dose of respect for each other, this outlines another critical aspect of a high performing team.

When you’re surrounded by people like this, nothing is impossible.

And you don’t even really need balls to be successful. 🙄

😁

I think I’m having far too much fun with the Inspirational poster themes!
