Life is NOT FAIR.
You could get laid off.
You could lose your marriage.
You could lose your job.
Life is full of buffeting winds.
And we will not always get what we want in life.
So what does it mean for us?
What does it say about us?
Perhaps we have fallen short, or we are inadequate in some way.
We weren’t good enough to hang on to that job, or that marriage, or that friendship.
But what else could that mean?
When I was much younger, everything would affect me.
All the setbacks told me how awful I was, and how insufficient.
How ‘Not Enough’.

We will not always get what we believe we deserve.
What defines us is how we deal with it, and not what it does to us.
