On my chat shift tonight

On my chat shift tonight with Samaritans and it’s always interesting.

I think we get a different demographic who prefer to use chat to talk through their struggles and to get things off their chest.

I know that sometimes it’s tough to talk on the phone… having to verbalize the feelings and thoughts that you’ve never shared with anyone…it can be so scary!

Which is why we have email support and webchat as well (and also letters!! For people who love writing using a pen and paper!🖋️📄😁)

The webchat is not 24×7, but phones and emails are. 📞✔️💌✔️

If you find yourself struggling, please call freephone 116 123 from the UK, or you can email jo@samaritans.org.  Link to the webchat can be found in the comments below.

If you’re in a good place, you might want to volunteer for Samaritans! Just go to the website and check out the branch closest to you.

The world could use more listeners. ❤️
