It’s the ability to stop our lizard brain from reacting with impulse.
That’s the thing that gets us into trouble.
Extending this space or gap to allow rational thought is an exercise in discipline.
I was with ÜberHub and kids at Alton Towers a couple of days ago, a theme park up in ‘The North’, and when he offered me some donuts 🍩… my gap was literally non-existent. 😱
That donut was inhaled in a blink of an eye. 👁
So you see, this is still a challenge for someone as awesome and as emotionally mature as myself 😁
Emotional Mastery is definitely a lifetime quest, and you can be sure that I shall not let a deep-fried-donut get the best of me!! I’ll persevere until the end of time! 😄
